Belfast Whiskey WeekWhiskey Tasting
An Intimate Tasting with Killowen
Fri 31 July★3:00pm – 5:00pm★The Watson Library Bar
At The Watson Library Bar
Twenty seats. Two hours. One distillery the whole of whiskey Ireland has been quietly tracking. Killowen come down from the Mournes for the final day of the festival with a flight of their small batch single pot still uisce beatha — copper pot distilled, direct flame fired, and finished in casks nobody else on the island would think to attempt.
The room suits the whiskey. The Watson Library Bar is Belfast's book-lined city-centre hideaway — quiet corners, low light, and a back bar that takes its spirits seriously. With just twenty in the room and the distillery itself doing the pouring, this is as close to the liquid — and the people who make it — as Belfast Whiskey Week gets. Expect generous drams, seanchas straight from the still house, and the kind of question-and-craic session a big room never allows.
A Friday afternoon well spent: settle in, slow down, and let the Mournes come to you. Sláinte.
Important: This is an 18+ event. ID may be required on arrival.
