Sleep near the whiskey

Where to stay for Belfast Whiskey Week

The festival lives in a walkable triangle — City Hall to the Cathedral Quarter to Sailortown. Stay inside it and you'll never be more than fifteen minutes from your next dram. Two of these hotels are festival venues themselves.

Walk times are approximate and measured to the venues you'll actually be going to — not to a generic city centre pin.

Book smart

Booking tips for festival week

Book before the line-up peaks

Festival week overlaps with peak Belfast summer tourism. Rooms in the Cathedral Quarter go first — if your dates are fixed, book the bed before you book the drams.

Stay inside the triangle

City Hall, the Cathedral Quarter and Sailortown form the festival triangle. Anywhere inside it means every event is a short walk and taxis become optional.

Doing the EXPO? Think Great Victoria Street

EXPO day is the festival's biggest — staying near the Europa (or in it) means you can drop your haul of bottles back to the room between sessions.
