Uisce Beatha as Gaeilge: An Irish Language Whiskey Tasting with Sean Fennel

Uisce beatha — the water of life. Whiskey carried an Irish name long before it carried an age statement, and for one afternoon of festival week it gets talked about in the language that named it.

Join Sean Fennel upstairs in the Attic Room at McEnaney's for a guided tasting of four whiskeys from Ulster, hosted as Gaeilge. Whether you're fluent, a learner, or carrying no more than a cúpla focal, you'll be well looked after — the whiskey needs no translation.

McEnaney's has stood on the Glen Road since 1908, and the Attic Room — up on the top floor with its own wee bar — is as fine a spot as there is in West Belfast to put the dúchas back into a dram.
