Student ticket terms

Last updated 3 November 2026

These terms cover free student tickets for Belfast Whiskey Week events, including Varsity Pub Sports Day (Sunday 22 November 2026, King Pins, Belfast). They sit alongside our privacy policy. By registering for, or claiming, a free student ticket you agree to them.

1. Who can register

  • You must be a current student at a UK university or college and register with your own student email address ending in .ac.uk.
  • You must be 18 or over. These events involve alcohol.

2. One ticket per student

  • Each student can hold one free ticket per event. Tickets are personal to the named student and can't be sold or transferred.
  • If you add teammates, we email each of them an invite. Every teammate must claim their own place from their own student inbox.

3. How places work

  • Places are free, limited, and first come, first served.
  • Registering doesn't hold a place. Your place is only secured when you open the link we email you and your ticket appears. Invites to teammates don't hold places either.
  • We may close registration at any time, including once all places have gone.

4. At the door

  • Bring your QR ticket (on your phone is fine) and a valid student ID. We operate Challenge 25 and may also ask for photo ID showing you're 18 or over.
  • If your ID doesn't match the ticket, or you can't show you're 18 or over, we'll refuse entry.
  • The venue's rules apply. We and the venue may refuse entry or service, or ask anyone to leave, for safety or behaviour reasons, including intoxication. Please drink responsibly.

5. Emails about your ticket

When you register, you agree that we can email you about your ticket: your claim link, a reminder if you haven't claimed it, reminders before the event, and any changes to the event. These are part of the service, so you'll get them whatever your marketing choice.

We only send marketing (news, offers and other events) if you tick the separate "keep me posted" box. You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time.

6. Changes and cancellation

We may need to change the time, format or venue of an event, or cancel it. If that happens we'll email you at the address you registered with. Student tickets are free, so no refund applies.

7. Fair use

We may cancel tickets that come from fake, duplicate or automated registrations, or that are being resold or misused.

8. Photos and filming

Our events may be photographed or filmed, and we may use the footage to promote Belfast Whiskey Week. If you'd rather not appear, tell a member of staff on the day.

9. Our responsibility

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or anything else that can't be limited by law. Otherwise, we're not responsible for losses that weren't foreseeable, or for personal belongings brought to the event.
