You expect nothing but winning from your Sports Teams, and neither do we! We want personal and team grudges to come to the fore, a “never say die” attitude, the kinda competitiveness seen at an ATP Cup final set, with the passion shown at an England v Scotland Rugby 6 Nations game, and the team spirit of the Ryder Cup European squad in front of a home crowd!

How often can Volleyball players take down the Rugby team, or do we ever witness the Cheerleaders get one over on the Hockey team?

Now is your chance — Varsity Pub Sports gives ALL students the chance to take on other sport teams at various technical, addictive, highly challenging and catastrophically fun games in the search for ultimate bragging rights, a trophy and plenty of spot prizes.

28 teams, five sports, one trophy

4 Players compete together as 1 of the 28 Teams — across 5 pub Sports at the fantastic King Pins in Belfast City Centre on Sunday the 22nd November.

Registration is free and will be agreed on a first come, first served basis. Sports Clubs may enter more than 1 team, although each team must comprise of 4 unique players.

There is room for 112 players, forming 28 teams. Wear your team colours, your sports kits or make sure you’ll be clearly identified — if not you’ll be wearing bibs!

Teams will compete head to head in some sports, while other sports will be based on collective team or individual scores. Make sure your team has a balance of strength, accuracy, ingenuity, stamina, spark, athleticism, resilience and determination. You don’t want to finish bottom of this league table!

You may want to get some practice in ahead of your big day — King Pins has space for you to get ahead of your competitors before Sunday 22nd November. We will be playing: DUCK PIN BOWLING, DRY ICE CURLING, CRAZY POOL, TECH DARTS & SHUFFLE BOARD. Something for everyone — but there will only be one team taking home the top prize!
