Killowen Distillery

Killowen Distillery sits on the slopes of Knock Shee above Rostrevor in County Down — Ireland's smallest distillery, where Brendan Carty fires pot stills over direct flame and runs the spirit through worm tub condensers. Smugglers once moved French brandy through these same hills; now Killowen makes single pot still whiskey with a cult following that stretches well beyond the Mournes.
